Unleash Growth with Artful Healing

Publisher | Certified Creative Art Therapist | Multidisciplinary Curator
Calais Michelle is the Founder of Out ofthe Mud Publishing Co., a creative platform dedicated to narrative, color, emotion, and human-centered storytelling. As a publisher and creative director, she develops books and experiential works that bridge fine art, therapeutic practice, and thoughtful living.
A Certified Creative Art Therapist, Calais integrates emotional intelligence and artistic expression into everything she creates. Her work is rooted in the belief that art is not separate from daily life — it shapes how we process, gather, heal, and grow. Through publishing and guided creative experiences, she curates tools that invite reflection, connection, and personal transformation.
As a multidisciplinary curator, Calais approaches both interiors and exterior environments as living canvases. Whether shaping a creative concept, designing immersive experiences, or developing narrative-driven projects, she blends aesthetics with structure — balancing artistic vision with strategic execution.
Her background includes social impact work and entrepreneurial development, which informs her thoughtful leadership and systems-based thinking. Today, her primary focus is expanding Out ofthe Mud Publishing Co. and growing creative art therapy offerings that directly support individuals, families, and communities.
Through books, curated spaces, and digital media, Calais creates platforms that connect people to story, to space, and to themselves.
Follow her creative reflections and conversations on her upcoming podcast YouTube:@WhenLifeIsLifin

"By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.”

Calais is available for keynotes, workshops, panels, fireside conversations, podcasts, and media appearances. Each experience is thoughtfully tailored to the audience, event theme, and desired outcome.
